Stay to your right on this trail, lots of bridges, when you get to the Elk River, the trail will have lots of fingers that will test all skill levels.
Wilson Parkway across from the Elk's Lodge. Park on the southwest side of the lake at the Trailhead, follow the yellow trail to the Elk River Trailhead.
